Our Remanufacturing Process

Performance driven companies can’t afford downtime in a just-in-time world. That’s why we remanufacture quality and reliability into every Universal Remanufactured machine. One by one, we take used Universal machines and completely transform them into productivity workhorses. It’s a winning formula for the value minded OEM or contract manufacturer who, like us, is driven by nothing less than the very best performance for their dollar.

Step-by-Step Complete Remanufacture:

1. Universal Instruments RM Division tears down and remanufactures machines from the ground up, scrapping and replacing virtually every wearable part with new and upgraded OEM parts.

2. After strip down, machines are power washed to ensure complete removal of dirt, grease, oil and scrap component leads. After drying, they are moved on to the paint booth for a quality finish.

3. The machine’s head, clinches and other critical subassemblies are completely torn down discarding wearable old revision parts, remaining parts inspected to meet original specifications or they are discarded, then remanufactured by experts, using new, upgraded, original-manufacturer piece parts.

4. When your machine shell, parts and subassemblies are ready, the Certified builder reassembles, literally re-crafts your machine.

The end result...a remanufactured machine that looks and functions like a new machine. We guarantee that every remanufactured machine will perform to the original engineering specification written at the time the machine was originally manufactured. And we provide Quality data to support that the machine will reach these specifications.
